Toddler Funnies
I find the world according to our Otto very funny. If we ask him who made this mess? He will reply confidently that, "Huxey Boo did it." Even if Huxey Boo is no where in sight. And if Huxey Boo is in sight he will also point to him and say, "That's him." To make sure we understand that the perpetrator is within our view.
This has been going on for about 2 weeks now. It doesn't matter if we are at Otty's house, or Gram's house. Huxey Boo always made the mess. The odd thing is that Huxey Boo is not really mobile yet, so it's pretty impossible that he's guilty of these accusations.
I started my spring cleaning last week and tackled the living room first. I cleaned, organized, and got rid of a lot of stuff, and had the large rug shampooed. The next time Otty came over he went in the living room and announced, "Room is clean, room is clean." I didn't realize how bad it was until our toddles clarified this for me. Gram's gotta get better at cleaning the house evidently.
Otty asked his Momma last night, "What the heck mom?" I"m sure he's heard this from someone, but it's pretty cute coming from a toddler.
Otto and Hux were taking a bath at Gram's the other night and Ot told me he "pooped." Fortunately he didn't. Later in the playroom I asked him if he tooted in the tub. He replied, "no, puffed like the train."
We also have a new situation since baby brother and Momma have been home. When I visit then get ready to leave Otty's house, he runs to get his coat and shoes. When Momma tells him he's staying home he starts crying. Of course then Gram scoops him up and brings him home. He's definitely figured out the system (thanks to Gram's reinforcement) and I have not figured out how to rectify this without Otty tears. When I tell him it's time to bring him home he tells me, "not yet." So now bribery has been installed with a promise Mommy will watch a video with him when he gets home. In truth I know someday he is going to be too busy to come to Gram's so for now I happily take my Otty home with me to play.
Oh my Otty, never a dull moment!
