I cannot believe that Otto will be 16 months and Huxon 1 month this week. How can that be? Time seems to fly by even faster as a Gram. Otto is starting to show some interest in Hux and getting use to him being around. He even gave him a kiss on the head the other day.
Otto had a physical at 15 months and was 50% ht (31 in) and 65%wt (24 lbs) on the chart for his age. Those chubby thighs got a little chubbier over these past summer months;) I'm not sure how that happened since he literally never stops moving. Ot will go up and down the many cabin stairs without a blink, while Gram is counting 1,2,3,4...out loud to force herself to keep breathing!
Some of Otto's new words this month are; mine, no, me, ow, rock, truck and woah. Momma was trying to get Ot to go up to the cabin the other day with not much luck, so Gram made him an ice cream cone to convince him it would be worth it. When I showed him his ice cream cone from the deck he got a huge smile and screamed "MINE!" booking his way up the last steps as fast as he could. Maybe that 65% wt is coming from food bribes?
We also have a missing TV remote at the cabin right now...oh those toddlers, they are sneaky little ones!
Huxon was off the preemie ht/wt chart almost before he even started. By two weeks he was on the full-term ht/wt chart topping off at 7% ht (20 in) and 10% wt (7.1 lbs). Now at 4 weeks he is up to 7lbs. 14.3 oz., so he is definitely growing at a rapid pace.
He continues to marvel all of us. He LOVES to be held and snuggled and DISLIKES very much diaper changes. As a matter of fact, he screams through the entire process. We are getting very good at changing him at a rapid pace.
Gram babysat this week while Momma and Daddy went on a movie/dinner date. Huxy slept most of the time so Gram got lots of precious baby snuggles:) Auntie Anna and Gram also witnessed Huxon roll over from tummy to back, as crazy as that sounds. He just lifted his head, rolled to his side, then right over. I'm sure this was a fluke, but pretty crazy to witness, since he's not even supposed to be here yet.

Hux is having more alert awake time, which is fun. He looks around and turns his head to his momma's voice even if she's across from the room. All that bonding time during the night sleeping on his momma's chest has
created quite a bond. He sure loves his momma!
One of the greatest things about being a Gram is watching my girls be wonderful Mommas. I feel so blessed that these boys have such loving parents!
