We have been hammered by the flu these past two weeks. First, Jesse got the flu, then Huxon. Poor Hux was sick for several days with projectile vomit and diarrhea. A week later Otto came down with the same thing, and Anna followed suit a couple days later.
Grammy was feeling pretty lucky that I had been spared the past two weeks, but alas I got my chance to hang with the porcelain god from 2am to 7am this morning. I still have the flu but those first 5 hours were horrific.
For years, we up north have heard the stories of Cousin Sara's family dealing with the flu bug in their home, passing it from one to another and thinking, whew that sounds awful. Well, news flash...it is awful! The visual of babies projectile vomiting is something that stays with you for decades. As a matter of fact, I still remember Anna's first bout with the flu at 1 yrs old. It left quite an impression.
So far Olivia, Luke, Mike and Milo have been spared. Let's hope their luck continues. I'm really hoping the breastfeeding is saving Milo at this point, because our babe is way too small to deal with this nasty bug!
Here's to the end of viruses and the beginnings of fun in the sun! Bring on summer:) PLEASE!!
We are a Grandma and three grandsons, enjoying our time together, making memories and having fun.

Army Crawl
Huxey is now curious about everything! He is watching and listening intently to all noises. His head whips around as soon as he hears a new sound (usually grandpa) in a room nearby. He feels the need to also touch everything , so we are now moving all plates, cups, food and utensils to the middle of the table if he's sitting on one of our laps.
Poor Hux had a tough bout after his shots this month. A good week of cold, with coughing, runny nose and not being able to sleep followed by vomiting and diarrhea days later. We found out today he has RSV. Our pumpkin has lost a bit of weight during the whole process and add to that his top front teeth coming in and finger munching on the sides of his mouth as well. We are hoping this is the end of getting sick for him. Simply no fun!
Momma is done with student teaching next week, which means Grammy's one-on-one time with Huxey will be less frequent until a teaching job becomes available. I'm so glad I got to spend so much time with Huxey these past 4 months. Our Grammy and Huxey bond is stronger than ever. ❤️
